The Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams first two meetings this season have been such good games, it’s only right we get a third and final edition to make it a trilogy to decide the NFC.
Over the course of the first two meetings, the two teams are separated by just one yard and one point apiece. In 126 minutes and 47 seconds of football, the Rams outgained the Seahawks 830-829 on offense, and outscored them 58-57. Collin Cowherd brought these remarkable anomalies up on his show today as well.

Anyone who watched these two games knows how good they each were, with the second widely called the game of the year and the first featuring the same top-notch drama. Before each matchup, the hype train hoped they’d earn that moniker, and they each lived up to the impossible task. I wrote about how Sean McVay’s ability to revolutionize offense better than any coach in the modern generation was only countered by Mike Macdonald’s ability to mirror that on the defensive side of the ball. I suggested these matchups wouldn’t just feature the best two teams and coaches, but give us a preview of what football could look like in 2026 and beyond.
Now the calendar has flipped to 2026, and the NFC Championship will be rightfully won by one of its two best teams. They’re so close with each other, but far ahead of the pack. Whichever NFC West giant represents the conference in the Super Bowl will be the heavy favorite. Seahawks fans would’ve rather played the Chicago Bears for an easier matchup, but football fans deserved a rubber match on this season series to complete one of the all-time trilogies of division rivals.
