Construction has started on the many food and beverage stations at the new Titans stadium.
A main goal for Tennessee Titans officials is to sure the eating experience at the new enclosed 1.7-million-square-foot Nissan Stadium is better than it is at the existing stadium on the East Bank of the Cumberland River.

The new Titans stadium is scheduled to open in 2027 and cost $2.2 billion. There are kitchen and cooking areas currently being built out for 40 markets located on the plaza and main concourse levels. Everything from the way you make your purchase to the quality and variety of food and drinks will be different from the current concession model, according to Titans’ head of stadium, revenue and strategy Chelsea Lipocky.
No long lines at new Titans stadium
It starts by the eliminating aggravating long lines to make purchases. To do that the stadium will utilize Just Walk Out technology for a faster, frictionless shopping experience.
“We’ll have 40 markets throughout the building that will replace the traditional concession stands,” Lipocky said. “You will actually walk in and serve yourself using Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology. You will tap your card, walk in and there is camera technology that tracks what you’re grabbing. It will charge you and you just walk out the gate.”

The Just Walk Out technology has been available since 2018, but has never been used in a stadium this large.
“This all stems from years ago listening to our fans and understanding one of the big pain points of our current experience is how long it takes to get food and get back to your seats,” Lipocky said. “There are other venues that use friction technology … but even at Seattle (Luman Field) for the Seahawks they have over 20 market experiences that are like this in addition to regular concessions.

“So we’ll be the first ones to do it at such a big scale for an NFL venue, which is exciting and also puts a little more pressure on us about how to get it right.”
The Titans operational partner for concessions and hospitality services in the new stadium will be managed by Soexo Live!, a global hospitality company that serves stadiums, arenas, convention centers, museums and other venues.
More local restaurants will be in new Titans stadium
A local flair will be offered at some of the venues. The current stadium offers local restaurants like Party Fowl, which features hot chicken, and Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint. The plan is to have more local establishments be part of the new stadium.

A link will be provided soon at The New Nissan Stadium where local restaurant owners can notify Titans officials if they would like to be part of the lineup.
Food and beverage markets give Titans Stadium new look
About 12% of the total equipment installation so far has been installed at the new stadium including cooking hoods and walk-in coolers.
As the market fronts are being built, Lipocky said the look of the stadium from the inside is constantly changing.
“It’s kind of crazy, every time we get to go into the building it looks dramatically different,” Lipocky said. “Starting on the 100 level (the markets) are already framed out, they have some kitchen equipment already in like hoods over the eventual fryers. It’s really cool to kind of see it coming together.”
