Bill Belichick isn’t the only one being snubbed for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Robert Kraft, the owner of the New England Patriots, also won’t be in Canton for his first year of eligibility, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Why? Beyond him not making the voting threshold, it’s hard to say. Maybe voters felt that the Pats success was due to Belichick and Tom Brady (although don’t you need an owner who backs them up?). Maybe it was similar concerns about Deflategate and Spygate and such. We’ll see if there are reports about that.
