Ban on flying private drones in Pakistan

Afghanistan’s Defense Ministry claimed that it targeted military targets inside Pakistan with drones. At the same time, Pakistan’s Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said that small drones were dropped in Abbottabad, Swabi and Nowshera and there was no major damage.

After these incidents, Pakistan’s Home Ministry has immediately banned flying private drones in the entire country.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif visited the Army Headquarters and reiterated the policy of zero tolerance. Pakistan’s Information Minister termed the Afghan Taliban government as illegal and alleged that the rights of women and minorities are being snatched there.

Pakistan’s Deputy Home Minister Talal Chaudhary had claimed that at least 70 fighters were killed in the action on TTP hideouts in the border areas. Afghanistan had strongly condemned these attacks. The Taliban said that civilians were targeted in the attacks. According to Tolo News report, 23 people of the same family were buried under the debris after an attack on a house in Nangarhar.

At the same time, the Afghan Defense Ministry had said that Pakistan would be given a ‘strong reply at the right time’. The ministry had described these attacks as a violation of the country’s sovereignty.

Pakistan has been pressurizing the Taliban government of Afghanistan for a long time to not allow its land to be used by any terrorist organization. Islamabad alleges that TTP is operating from Afghanistan, while the Taliban government has consistently denied these allegations.
