Karnail Singh, husband of Punjabi woman Sarabjit Kaur, who moved from India to Pakistan and married a Muslim man Nasir Hussain, recently shared many important things in an interview given to a channel.

He told that he has been living in England for about 20 years. Many cases are registered against Sarabjit Kaur and children in India. He needed a lot of money to settle these cases. For this, he kept earning money by staying in England and paying lawyers’ fees. This is the reason why he could not give time to Sarabjit and his children.
According to Karnail Singh, even today bail and legal process is going on in many cases, on which continuous expenditure is being incurred. He used to deposit Rs 2.5 to 3 lakh in Sarabjit’s account every month, so that the cases could be fought and his wife and children could stay out of jail.
During the interview, Karnail Singh also said that despite living abroad, he never completely lost contact with his family. He says that even before that he used to talk to Sarabjit daily and even today we talk to him many times.
He told that Sarabjit Kaur is very sad at this time. Sarabjit asked him to call him to England. To this he replied that first he should come to India, after that he would call him to England.

He sold his gold chain for Rs 6 lakh, has Rs 1.5 lakh with him and has bought a new phone worth Rs 1 lakh 70 thousand. Nasir took the remaining money. She says that Nasir used to ask for money. Question: You have been abroad for 20 years. Did you talk to him before? answer: Earlier I used to talk to him three-four times every day. Even now we have talked several times.
Question: Does Sarabjit tell you that she wants to come back? answer: Yes, she says that she is threatened and told that if she goes to India, Indian agencies will catch her.
Question: What was your compulsion that you did not come to India for 20 years? answer: See, there were a lot of cases against the family here. Crores of rupees have been spent. You can also go to my village and ask. If I had not invested the money, those people probably would not have been able to come out of jail for the rest of their lives. Even today it is costing crores of rupees. Agreements have been made only through money. There are still cases against my sons. There is no money to be made in India, so I was forced to live abroad. By earning money here, I am settling the cases of my family in India.
Question: If Sarabjit comes back, will you return to India from England? answer: Yes, I talked to him just a few days ago. She was saying call me to England. I said that I will call, but first come to India.
