America has announced a reward of up to 10 million dollars (about ₹ 92 crore) for information about Iran’s new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei. The US State Department’s ‘Rewards for Justice’ program has made this announcement.
This list includes the names of many officials including senior Iranian leader Ali Larijani. Apart from these, information has also been sought about Intelligence Minister Ismail Khatib, Ali Asghar Hejaji, Yahya Rahim Safvi and Iskander Momeni.
The US alleges that these officers operate networks linked to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which plan attacks and terrorist activities around the world. The US State Department has said that apart from giving rewards to people who provide useful information about these leaders, they will also be given the facility to resettle them safely in another country if needed.
Claim-Iran will allow two Indian gas tankers to pass through Hormuz
Iran has allowed two Indian gas tankers to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. News agency Reuters has claimed this in its report. The report quoted sources as saying that two Indian LPG tankers will soon leave for India via the Strait of Hormuz.
This is expected to help in reducing the pressure on domestic gas supply. The report also states that a crude oil tanker has also crossed the Strait of Hormuz around March 1 and may reach India by Saturday carrying Saudi Arabian oil.
Earlier on Thursday evening, Iran’s Ambassador to India Mohammad Fatahali had said that Iran will provide safe passage to India in the Strait of Hormuz. He said- India and Iran have had friendly relations and mutual trust for a long time.

According to the report, the injury in the attack was so deep that one of his legs had to be amputated and his liver was also seriously damaged. A part of the hospital has been completely sealed and heavy security is deployed there.
