A hearing was held in the Lahore High Court on March 24 in the case related to the deportation of Punjabi woman Sarabjit Kaur, who had gone to Pakistan. During the hearing, Advocate Ali Changezi Sandhu demanded early hearing and argued that it should be heard immediately on humanitarian grounds. Accepting the arguments, the court gave priority to the case and proceeded with it for early hearing. Justice Farooq Haider called for replies from the concerned parties during the hearing and directed to present all the necessary documents on time. The court also said that along with the law, human aspects will also be taken into consideration in the case. The court has fixed the next hearing for March 25. The case pertains to violation of visa rules, due to which deportation proceedings were initiated against him. He used to force Sarabjit to come to Pakistan. She used to say that Nasir blackmails and asks for money. Due to this reason she was not keeping well. Sarabjeet is a patient of depression. The husband also claimed that she still calls when she is sad and on the verge of death. She says I am sad, on the verge of dying, don’t know when I will die.
