The administration says that relief and rescue teams are on full alert and are working continuously to help the people. According to official information, about 3.27 lakh people are still without electricity, including about 89 thousand children. These people live in 283 different areas. Dagestan’s head, Sergei Melikov, said the situation had become worse than expected. Due to heavy rains, part of a railway bridge in the city has broken, due to which train service has also been affected. The Meteorological Department has warned that the rain may continue till Sunday, making the situation worse.
