Eight people died in an earthquake late Friday evening in Kabul, Afghanistan. The tremors of this 6.3 magnitude earthquake were also felt in many parts of Pakistan, although there was no news of any damage there.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department, the earthquake was recorded at 9:13 pm. Its center was in the Hindukush region of Afghanistan and its depth was 190 kilometers from the ground. The earthquake was felt in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Pakistan Occupied Kashmir and parts of Punjab.
Earlier, at least 20 people had died in an earthquake of 6.3 magnitude on November 3, 2025 in Mazar-e-Sharif, Afghanistan. Hundreds of people were injured. The city’s historic Blue Mosque was also damaged by the earthquake. This mosque is a major religious and tourist destination of Mazar-e-Sharif.
