He was looking for better opportunities for himself by living in Paris. The family hoped that he would do something abroad and strengthen the financial condition of the house.
- Couldn’t find work for a long time in Netherlands: According to family members, after going to France, Sagar reached Netherlands in January 2026. He did not get any work there for about two months and he kept wandering here and there in search of employment. After a lot of struggle, he got the job of cutting trees at a person’s house about 15 days ago.
- Had gone to a house to cut trees on 20-21 March: According to family members, he was working hard and diligently in the Netherlands to fulfill the responsibilities of his family. - Accident due to falling of tree, serious head injury: According to the family, while cutting, the tree suddenly started falling towards him. At that time Sagar was standing on the stairs. While the tree was falling, the ladder got entangled in it, due to which he lost his balance and fell backwards on the ground. He suffered serious head injury during the fall. Bleeding started from nose and ears.
- Treatment continued for four days, life did not save: Immediately after the accident, he was admitted to the hospital in critical condition. There he struggled between life and death for four days, but he died during treatment on March 25. His maternal uncle got this information on phone, after which there was mourning in the family.

This is how the young man’s journey from Sonipat to France and Netherlands was…
Financial constraints forced one to go abroad
Kamal Rana told that the condition of his family was not good for a long time. The family has only one bigha of land and no permanent source of income. His house in the village is in a dilapidated condition, so he is living on rent in his uncle’s house in the village. The father supports the family by driving a rented car, which somehow covers the household expenses. Sagar had dreamed of going abroad to work hard and pay off the family’s debt as well as build his own house. Sagar had completed his 12th standard from Kasandi village.
Had taken loan and sent abroad
Kamal Rana told that the family had taken a loan of about Rs 20 to 25 lakh to send Sagar abroad. It was expected that Sagar would pay off this debt by earning money abroad and make the family financially strong. Sagar used to talk to his mother and other family members daily, but his call did not come on March 20. The family also sent him messages, but received no response. Later the news of his death came.

Body stuck abroad, plea for help from government
Presently Sagar’s mortal remains are in the Netherlands. The financial condition of the family is very weak, due to which they are not able to bring the body to India themselves. The family members are continuously appealing for help from the government and administration, so that Sagar’s last rites can be performed in his own country and among his own people and the family can see their son for the last time.
