A trader had invested Rs 3.19 lakh and was expecting to get Rs 58 lakh, but after a few minutes the site stopped the trade. The company said its rules do not allow payouts on bets involving the death of a person. As the controversy escalated, Kalshi has decided to return the money and fees to the bettors.
