The deceased has been identified as Mavluda. She is from Turkey. As soon as the accident came to light, the police reached there. The police have taken the body into their custody and sent it for postmortem. Now the family of the deceased has been contacted. His sister is coming from Türkiye. Zirakpur police investigating officer Raj Kumar said that the deceased has been identified as Mavluda, a foreign national. Her sister has said that she is coming to India from Türkiye, after which further legal action including post-mortem will be taken. Police are scanning the footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby so that the accused driver can be identified and arrested soon. Investigation of the matter is ongoing. The risk of accidents is increasing on VIP Road. Speeding vehicles are becoming the cause of accidents on VIP Road every day. Local people say that many drivers drive at high speed at night, putting the lives of pedestrians and two-wheeler drivers at risk. People have demanded the administration to take strict steps for speed control on this route and increase traffic monitoring.
