400 people died in Pakistan’s attack

This violence took place about a week after the agreement in which both the countries agreed to stop fighting. This agreement was made at the behest of Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Qatar. Earlier, Pakistan had carried out air strikes in Afghanistan on the night of 17 March.

The Afghan Taliban government claims that these attacks targeted a drug rehabilitation hospital in Kabul, in which more than 400 people were killed. However, Pakistan has denied targeting civilians and said it had attacked an ammunition dump.

Media and United Nations reports revealed the attack on the de-addiction center, but the Pakistan Army did not accept the killing of any civilian. Instead, Pakistan’s military spokesman Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry alleged that the Taliban used drug addicts to carry out suicide attacks. However, he did not provide any evidence to support his claim.

TTP also broke 3 days ceasefire

Here, Pakistan Taliban i.e. Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has also said that it has resumed attacks inside Pakistan after its 3-day ceasefire on Eid.

TTP is separate from but linked to the Afghan Taliban. Since the Afghan Taliban came to power in 2021, TTP has increased its attacks in Pakistan. America and the United Nations have declared TTP as a terrorist organization.

Pakistan alleges that Kabul is harboring TTP leaders and thousands of fighters who carry out cross-border attacks. However, Afghanistan rejects this allegation.

Pakistan has clearly said that until the Afghan Taliban government gives assurance that its land will not be used for terrorist attacks, it will continue to target TTP and its supporters inside Afghanistan.

PAK accuses India of spreading terror

Pakistan says that this is action against terrorism. According to him, terrorist attacks have increased in the country and 2025 has been the most violent year of the last decade. Pakistan has long alleged that the Taliban harbors groups that carry out attacks in Pakistan, and also accuses India of supporting such organizations.

Both India and the Taliban deny these allegations and say that the attacks in Pakistan are its internal matter.

Despite this, anger has increased in Pakistan. Often, immediately after any attack, Pakistan’s ministers blame it on Afghanistan, to which the Taliban gives a strong response. Now Pakistan says that there is nothing left for talks.

At the same time, Taliban alleges that Pakistan, along with countries like America, is trying to destabilize Afghanistan.

War like situation between Pakistan and Afghanistan

The conflict between Pakistan and Afghanistan started on 22 February. Pakistan had conducted airstrike in the border areas of Afghanistan.

Pakistan’s Deputy Home Minister Talal Chaudhary had claimed that at least 70 fighters were killed in the action on TTP hideouts in the border areas. Later Pakistani newspaper Dawn claimed that this number had reached 80. In response, Afghanistan attacked Pakistan on 27 February.

The Afghan Defense Ministry had said that Pakistan would be given a ‘strong response at the right time’. The ministry had described these attacks as a violation of the country’s sovereignty.

Pakistan has been pressurizing the Taliban government of Afghanistan for a long time to not allow its land to be used by any terrorist organization. Islamabad alleges that TTP is operating from Afghanistan, while the Taliban government has consistently denied these allegations.

Why fight between Pakistan and TTP?

After America’s attack on Afghanistan in 2001, Pakistan supported America. This angered TTP, who considered it against Islam.

TTP believes that the Pakistan government does not believe in true Islam, hence it attacks against it.

TTP has deep links with the Afghan Taliban. Both groups support each other.

After the Afghan Taliban came to power in 2021, Pakistan launched attacks in Afghanistan targeting TTP.
