‘Duty to Warn’ notice to Khalistan supporter in Canada: Vancouver Police said – danger including family; Moninder was Nijjar’s associate, Lawrence suspected – Ludhiana News

Police has issued a threat alert for Sikh Federation of Canada head Khalistan supporter Moninder Singh and his family. Duty to warn advisory has been issued for this. Moninder is an associate of Hardeep Nijjar who was murdered outside the Gurudwara in Canada. He was associated with the same organization. After the murder of Nijjar, Moninder was handling all the work. Moninder claimed that an officer from the Vancouver Police Department came to his house and informed him that he had received information about a threat to his life from an intelligence cell. For the first time, his family, wife and children have also been said to be in danger. This claim has been made just before the visit of Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney to India. It is believed that Khalistan supporters living in Canada are not in favor of improving relations with India. Moninder says that notorious gangster Lawrence is behind this. Audio recording and evidence shared Moninder Singh, who lives in Surrey city of British Columbia, has shared the audio recording of the police meeting and the photo of the officer’s visiting card with a Canadian news channel. Surrey Police say the department periodically uses a ‘duty to warn’ procedure when it receives information about a threat against an individual. Nijjar had received a warning in 2022. Moninder Singh, while talking to Surrey’s Global TV channel, claimed that he and his colleague Hardeep Singh Nijjar had also received a similar warning in 2022. The next year in 2023, Nijjar was shot dead outside a Gurdwara Sahib in Surrey. Canadian agencies had suspected elements linked to India behind this murder. India has denied these allegations. Allegations against gangster Lawrence’s gang: Mohinder Singh claimed that Indian agencies were implicated in Nijjar’s murder and they used criminal networks operating in Canada. Investigative agencies have accused Lawrence and his associate gangster Goldie Brar of targeting political opponents. India is trying to silence its opponents. Moninder Singh alleges that India uses criminal gangs in Canada to target its political opponents. He has been a supporter of the Khalistan movement and the Indian government is now planning to attack him through its network. Moninder Singh said that he is not a businessman. He is being targeted because he is politically active. Lawrence Gang-Goldie Brar are the reason for the extortion crisis in Canada. Moninder Singh says that the extortion crisis in Canada is directly due to the Lawrence Gang and the gangster Goldie Brar living in Canada. He said that this matter has also been raised in the Parliament of Canada. Mohinder Singh described Prime Minister Mark Carney’s visit to India as a slap on the face of the Sikh community. He says that until the issues related to national security are not resolved, it is premature to strengthen relations with India. Khalistan supporters angry over the improving relations between India and Canada: Relations between India and Canada had soured after the murder of Khalistan supporter Hardeep Singh Nijjar. Canada accused Indian agencies of Nijjar’s murder and relations between the two countries were severed. India had even closed its embassy. Now relations between the two countries have started improving again. Khalistan supporters living in Canada are angry with the Canadian government due to improving relations. He is continuously opposing improving relations with India. This claim of Khalistan supporter Moninder Singh is also being considered a part of the same strategy.
