Musgrave dressed for 10 games in two seasons in Denver, completing 60.9% of his passes for 369 yards with no touchdowns against two interceptions. He went 0-1 as a fill-in starter during the 1996 season.
After hanging up his cleats, Musgrave got his coaching start as a QBs coach with the Oakland Raiders in 1997. He spent time with seven NFL teams and one college program before returning to the Broncos in 2017. He coached QBs in Denver and served as an interim offensive coordinator in 2017 before taking over full-time OC duties in 2018.
After the Broncos fired Vic Fangio, Musgrave three years at the college level before returning to the NFL as a senior offensive assistant with the Cleveland Browns in 2023. He held that title for two seasons before coaching Cleveland’s QBs in 2025 and then taking the same position with the Jets this offseason.
