The past few weeks and months have taken a toll on the team, both physically and mentally, but we’re in the home stretch now of this extremely congested run of fixtures. Just the three more games in seven days then, and then we get like two days off! Woohoo.
Despite all that, Chelsea did manage to put together a five-match winning run, our longest of the season, before losing to Arsenal on Tuesday in the second leg of the League Cup semifinal. Liam Rosenior’s 0-for-2 against The Gunners, 6-for-6 against everyone else. Tuesday’s game was also the first time we’ve failed to score under the new head coach.

We should be able to get a few this weekend though, facing the worst team in the league. Wolves have won just one league game all season. No team have scored fewer; only West Ham have conceded more.
There’s of course always the danger of underestimating the opposition, especially in our current condition. Jamie Gittens, Dário Essugo, Roméo Lavia, Tosin Adarabioyo, and Levi Colwill remain out; Reece James and Pedro Neto are questionable after also not passing fit midweek.
