Human-like dance of Chinese robots went viral: Also did martial arts with children, experts said – China defeated America in robotics

China showed its technological strength to the world on Monday. In one program, humanoid robots that looked like humans performed martial arts and dance. About 25 robots were seen dancing with the children, twisting swords, doing backlifts and twirling sticks. The special thing was that not a single robot fell. The world was shocked to see this performance. The question that arose in many people’s minds was that if robots can now dance and do kung fu, what else can they do. Experts believe that this performance was completely different from last year. Last year, robots were seen just rolling napkins and doing simple activities. But everything has changed in a year. China wants to show the world, especially America, that it has advanced far in technology. The Gala is a showcase of technology, robot companies benefit. George Steeler, head of a technology consultancy company in Asia, said that the Gala in which these robots performed has been a big platform to showcase China’s technological strength for many years. On this platform, China has been presenting its space program, new technologies like drones and robots to the world. He said that the most special thing about this gala is that there is a direct connection between the industrial policy of the government and the big shows of TV. That is, companies who get a chance to showcase their products on this platform, later get benefits like government orders, interest from investors and easy entry into the market. According to Steeler, there has been a big change in the capabilities of robots in just one year. Now his gait and movement have become better than ever. It is clear from this that companies like Unity are working on strengthening the ‘brain’ of robots i.e. AI software, so that these robots can also do detailed and real work in factories in future. 90% of robots worldwide According to Chinese research firm Omdia, out of about 13 thousand humanoid robots sent worldwide last year, 90 percent were from China. This is far ahead of American companies. Morgan Stanley estimates that sales of humanoid robots in China could more than double to 28 thousand units this year. The world’s richest man Elon Musk says he sees Chinese companies as his biggest rivals as he pushes Tesla towards AI-based robotics. “China is underestimated by outsiders, but China is a powerful next-level player,” he said recently. Beijing-based tech analyst Po Zhao says robots running marathons, performing kung-fu kicks or doing backflips are not just for show. There is a big strategy behind this. China has put robotics and AI at the center of its next-generation “AI+ manufacturing” plan. The government hopes that increased use of machines will increase production in factories and reduce the pressure from the country’s aging population. Development of robots increases people’s concern AI policy expert Ramesh Srinivasan told Al Jazeera that this demonstration shows that China is moving rapidly in the field of humanoid robotics. In the long run, these robots can be used in sectors like industry and farming, especially at a time when China’s population is continuously declining. These incidents have raised many important questions. When Artificial Intelligence comes among us in the form of robots, what will be its impact on the jobs and earnings of common workers? What will be the situation if such robots start being used in the battlefield? Srinivasan says that this technology will change our future at the level of economic, military and personal life. People may start adopting robots and AI as therapists, companions, and even potential spouses. According to him, the real question is whether we really want such a future? And in which areas is it appropriate to use humanoid robots and in which areas should they not be used? He said that such a balance has to be created with technology so that the future will be better. It is most important that people feel safe, because especially in America, AI is separating people from each other and clear research is also coming out about this.
