Iran’s new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei will avenge the assassination of the country’s security chief Ali Larijani. According to state media, Khamenei said that those responsible for Larijani’s murder will have to pay the price. He described Larijani as an ‘intelligent and dedicated leader’. Also said that his murder shows how important the enemies considered him. Khamenei warned that ‘every blood has a price’ and the blood of martyrs would soon be accounted for. He said that such attacks will not weaken Iran but will strengthen it further.
