Recently released emails from the Epstein files have revealed shocking information about sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s interest in poisonous plants. These emails specifically mention ‘trumpet plants’ (Dhatura plant).
Articles were forwarded in emails which mentioned its use in Colombia. It is said that under its influence the person can be ‘transported’ to anywhere, as he becomes completely obedient and confused.
In Hindu tradition, Dhatura is associated with Lord Shiva. According to mythology, when poison came out during the churning of the ocean, Shiva drank it to save the world. Dhatura flowers and fruits are offered in Shiva temples.
What is the ‘zombie flower’ in the Epstein files?
Screenshots of the emails show that his financier had expressed interest in such plants. Datura plants produce a chemical called scopolamine, which has a profound effect on the brain. Scopolamine can impair memory and cause confusion. For this reason, some experts also call it ‘zombie breath’.

This plant is mentioned 3 times in emails
First email (3 March 2014):
This email was sent directly by Epstein to a person named ‘Ann Rodriguez’. In the email he wrote to ask Chris about his trumpet plants in the nursery. This clearly indicates that Trumpet plant i.e. Datura plants were planted in Epstein’s nursery.
Second email (27 January 2015):
It is said that this email was forwarded by French fashion photographer Antoine Verglas. The “zombie flowers” referred to in the emails are actually trumpet-shaped plants. One message forwarded was titled “Scopolamine: A powerful drug growing in the jungles of Colombia, which destroys human consciousness.”
This message was related to a report by Daily Mail and Vice. In the report, Scopolamine was described as a substance under the influence of which a person can become extremely obedient.
Some lines of the article were specially marked. It was said in them that under the influence of this drug, a person can be taken anywhere and he starts behaving like a small child.
Third email (7 February 2022):
The third document is not a direct conversation with Epstein. It is said to be an email sent by a man named Guillermo Farinas to Juan Antonio Gonzalez, a copy of which was also sent to Joseph Manzaro. At present it is not clear who these people are.
In this, Manjaro has mentioned an alleged incident of December 2014. He claims that he was rendered unconscious with a drug called Scopolamine. This substance is made from certain plants, which include trumpet plant i.e. Datura.
Scopolamine has been clearly named in the statement. Manjaro alleges that one of the two men carrying him said, “I have given him a large amount of scopolamine.” After this he claimed to suffer from loss of memory and excessive sleep.
Dhatura flower is considered sacred in Hindu religion.
In Hindu tradition, the bugle-shaped Dhatura flower is considered sacred. It is associated with Lord Shiva. It is believed that Lord Shiva drank the poison released during the churning of the ocean, which saved the universe. Dhatura is considered to be a symbol associated with the same poison.
Dhatura flowers and fruits are offered in many temples in India, especially during Mahashivratri. Although this plant is poisonous, it is still considered a symbol of spiritual strength and protection. However, this religious significance has no direct connection with the context described in the Epstein Files.

Who was Jeffrey Epstein?
Jeffrey Epstein was a millionaire financier from New York. He was friends with big leaders and celebrities.
He was accused of sexually assaulting a minor girl in 2005. In 2008 he was convicted of soliciting sex from a minor. He was jailed for 13 months. In 2019, Jeffrey was arrested on sex trafficking charges. But before the trial he committed suicide in jail.
His partner Ghislaine Maxwell was convicted of charges of helping him in 2021. She is serving a 20-year sentence.
