The body of a Sikh man who was kidnapped from the Gurudwara in Tracy city of America has been found today. The police are investigating the reasons behind the death. The deceased has been identified as Avtar Singh (57), who is originally from Ludhiana and has been living in California with his family for many years. Baba Harnam Singh Dhuma, head of Damdami Taksal, shared this information on his Facebook page on Saturday evening and said that his body has been found. He served as a cook at the Gurdwara Sahib in Tracy and lived on the premises. The family reported him missing to the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office. After which the police received CCTV footage, in which a white SUV and three persons wearing dark clothes were seen forcibly taking away Avtar Singh. The kidnapping took place on February 17. According to police, the team investigated the 16000 block of W. Grant Line Road after being reported missing on February 17 at 8:52 pm. The police had released photographs of Avtar Singh and the suspected SUV on social media and appealed to the people to provide information.
