PM Modi held a joint media conference in Delhi after meeting with the President of Finland on Thursday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held bilateral talks with Finnish President Alexander Stubb in Delhi on Thursday. During this, he appealed for an early end to the ongoing war in the Middle East and Ukraine. Modi said that no issue can be solved through military conflict.

PM Modi said that both India and Finland believe in rule of law, dialogue and diplomacy. He said- We agree that no problem can be solved by military conflict alone.

Be it the issue of Ukraine or the Middle East, India will continue to support peaceful resolution of all disputes and efforts to establish peace.

The war between America, Israel and Iran has been going on for six days. According to Al Jazeera, Israel and America have so far dropped more than 5000 bombs in Iran. And 20 Iranian warships have been sunk. More than a thousand people have been killed in these attacks. Iran has also retaliated and attacked American bases built in 9 countries of the Middle East.

Modi said- Emphasis on partnership in AI, 6G and quantum technology

Finnish President Alexander Stubb arrived on a four-day visit to India on Wednesday. The visit aims to enhance bilateral cooperation in a range of areas including trade, investment and emerging technologies.

In the meeting, both the countries agreed to increase cooperation in the areas of digitalization and sustainability. Both sides discussed upgrading India-Finland relations to the level of strategic partnership.

The PM said that both the countries will move forward with cooperation in high-tech areas like Artificial Intelligence, 6G telecom, clean energy and quantum computing. The India-European Free Trade Agreement (FTA) will further strengthen trade, investment and technological cooperation between India and Finland.

Referring to President Stubb’s personal achievements, Modi said that Stubb has completed the Ironman Triathlon, which is considered a very difficult competition.

Stubb said that India is one of the fastest growing economies in the world and has seen a big change in the last decade. His last visit to India was in 2013 and the country has changed a lot since then.
