Question no. 1- What is Tehreek-e-Taliban Hindustan?
answer – The terrorist organization Tehreek-e-Taliban Hindustan (TTH) which has taken responsibility for the killing of policemen in Gurdaspur, according to the police, no official or active terrorist group exists by that name. This name is actually a Pakistani propaganda version of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), which is used to create an anti-India narrative.
This name is sometimes used to spread rumors or as a form of promotion on social media. Till now his name has not appeared in any major incident. TTP has also started being addressed as Fitna al-Hindustan in Pakistan.

Question no. 4 – Why did TTH attack in Punjab?
answer – In Punjab, two policemen posted at Durangala Police Post in Gurdaspur were shot dead. Posters were shared on social media on Sunday evening (22 February), in which a group named Tehreek-e-Taliban Hindustan was claiming responsibility. The poster was claimed to be Pakistan-based.
However, Punjab Police has clearly stated that this group is not present in Punjab or anywhere in India. This claim is fake or propaganda. The police have rejected this and the investigation is ongoing.
The big thing is that there was no mention in the poster as to why these murders were committed. The poster definitely warned the Indian security forces to resign, otherwise they would be targeted by entering the house.

ASI Gurnam Singh and home guard jawan Ashok Kumar, posted at Durangala police post in Gurdaspur, were shot dead on Saturday night. ASI’s dead body was found on a chair in the post and inside a quilt in the home guard’s cot.

- Sarpanch told- SHO sent on post: Sarpanch Kamaljit Singh of Adiyan village told that he got a call from SHO Banarasi Das at around 8 in the morning. SHO told that he has been calling the post for a long time, but no one is receiving the call. He asked to go to the police post.
- ASI’s dead body was lying on the chair: The Sarpanch told that he reached the police post at around 8.15 in the morning. When we went inside, we saw that the ASI was sitting on a chair with his hands in both the pockets. When I called him, there was no response from ASI. It seemed as if he was sleeping somewhere? However, when he went closer, he saw that blood was coming out of the ASI’s ears. He was dead.
- Home guard found lying on the cot: The Sarpanch said that when he found the home guard, he was sleeping on the cot. He was wearing a quilt. When they went near him, he was shot in the chest. The Sarpanch immediately informed the SHO. After this, the police reached the spot within 5 minutes.
After receiving information about the death of both the policemen, the police reached the spot for investigation.
SSP said – investigation of the case is going on
Gurdaspur SSP Aditya said that he reached the spot as soon as he got information about the incident. Two policemen posted at the police post have died due to bullet injuries. Both the soldiers were found dead in the outpost room. Forensic teams are investigating on the spot.
When he was asked whether this case is being linked to terrorist attack or murder of gangsters, he said that the police is investigating the case from every angle. He said- Our technical and forensic teams are investigating.
