The challenges raised by online food sales require special attention and a possible rethinking of existing legal systems, according to a report.
The study, published by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), examined food e-commerce with regards to food safety and consumer protection. It looked at how legal systems in Canada, Chile, China, the European Union, Indonesia and Nigeria are addressing the issue.
