Israel and America attacked several cities in Iran including the capital Tehran on Saturday. US President Donald Trump claimed that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has been killed in these attacks.
Trump posted on Truth Social that Khamenei, one of the most cruel people in history, was killed. He called it justice for the people of Iran as well as America and countries around the world.
Earlier, speaking to CNN, Israeli officials claimed that they had a photo of Khamenei’s body, which was recovered from the debris. Israel and America have completely destroyed Khamenei’s house in a joint attack.
On the other hand, Iran said that the news of Khamenei’s death was false. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that the Supreme Leader is alive. They have been taken to a safe place.

News of the death of Khamenei’s son-in-law and daughter-in-law
There is news of the death of Khamenei’s son-in-law and daughter-in-law in the US-Israel attacks. A member of the Tehran City Council claimed that Khamenei’s son-in-law and daughter-in-law were killed. This information has been given by Reuters quoting Young Journalists Club.
There were attacks in several places in and around Tehran on Saturday night. Iranian state media had confirmed several blasts in the capital. However, the death of Khamenei’s family has not been confirmed yet. There has been no statement on this from America or Israel.
So far, more than 200 people have died due to the attacks by America and Israel on Iran, while more than 740 people have been injured. This information has been given by the Red Crescent Society of Iran.
85 girl students died and 45 were injured when a missile fell on a school in Iran. Israel and America targeted 10 big cities in their attack on Iran.
Iran’s counterattack- attack on 9 countries including Israel
In response to the attack by America and Israel, Iran also launched drone and missile attacks. In these attacks, 9 countries of the Middle East including Israel were targeted.
Iran fired about 400 missiles at Israel and also targeted American bases in Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and UAE. Not only this, Iran also attacked Dubai, the most populous city of UAE.
Iran carried out drone attacks near Dubai’s Palm Hotel and Resort and Burj Khalifa. Apart from this, many residential buildings in Bahrain were targeted.

Iran closed the Strait of Hormuz
Iran has closed the Strait of Hormuz. Iran’s Revolutionary Guards sent high-frequency radio messages to ships in the Gulf area. In these, ships were warned not to pass through this strategic sea route.
The Strait of Hormuz is considered a very important route for global oil and gas supply. It is a narrow waterway that connects the Persian Gulf to the Gulf of Oman and further to the Arabian Sea.
Iran is adjacent to it to the north. In the south is Oman and United Arab Emirates i.e. UAE. All the oil producing countries are around it. Therefore, oil is supplied throughout the world through this waterway.
The Strait of Hormuz is about 167 km long. Both its mouths are about 50 km wide, while the narrowest part is about 33 km wide. It has a 3 km wide shipping lane for inbound and outbound maritime traffic.

China said- Trump is the biggest obstacle to peace

Khamenei has been in supreme power in Iran for 35 years.
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has held the position of supreme leader of Iran since the death of Ruhollah Khomeini in 1989. During the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran, Khamenei played a major role in the revolution when Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi was ousted.
After the Islamic Revolution, Khamenei was made President in 1981. He remained in this post for 8 years. After the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Khomeini in 1989, he was made his successor.
According to BBC report, Ayatollah is a title of religious leader. According to Islamic law of Iran, it is necessary to be an Ayatollah to become the Supreme Leader.
That means only a religious leader can get the post of Supreme Leader. But when the law was amended to make Khamenei the Supreme Leader because he was not a religious leader.
