Canadian citizen and PhD student Hamza Ahmed Khan has gone missing in Lahore, Pakistan. He reached Pakistan on 13 February for research on anti-imperialist politics. On the night of 19 February, he booked a ride from his Defense Housing Authority house and left to go somewhere, but did not return.

According to Awasthi, the officials pressured him to book an expensive return ticket and the return ticket cost almost 10 times more than the normal price. He also claimed that he faced strict surveillance even while in transit in China.

Three months after the massive fire of November 2025 in Hong Kong, the government has announced a rehabilitation plan. About 1,700 flat owners in 7 buildings of Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po will be given the option to purchase ownership rights or exchange flats.
168 people died in the fire that broke out on 26 November 2025. Thousands of people were rendered homeless after the accident and are living in temporary shelters. The government is currently providing financial assistance for rent.
This entire process will cost approximately 6.8 billion Hong Kong dollars (ie approximately Rs 7892 crore). Of this, $4 billion will come from public funds, the rest from the relief fund.
