Pakistan targeted terrorist hideouts with air strikes in Kandahar province of Afghanistan on Sunday night. Pakistan took this action under Operation Awesome-Lil-Haq. In response to this, the Taliban government of Afghanistan has attacked Pakistan’s military camp. According to Pakistan’s Information Minister Ataullah Tarar, the attack targeted targets that were used by organizations like Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) to prepare for cross-border attacks. The Taliban government of Afghanistan has rejected these claims. Spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said that the attacks did not damage any terrorist hideout, but a de-addiction center and empty containers in Kandahar. Pakistan has also alleged that a drone attack was carried out by Afghanistan on Friday night, due to which some civilians including two children were injured in Quetta due to falling debris.
