Tension between America and Iran is increasing very rapidly. According to CNN report, America may attack Iran this week. It is yet to get final approval from President Donald Trump.

America has deployed its largest air force in the Middle East since the 2003 Iraq War. According to reports, America has deployed several squadrons of advanced fighter jets like F-35, F-22, F-15 and F-16 in the Middle East.

Command and control aircraft required for large-scale air operations are also being sent. Air defense systems have also been deployed in the area in recent weeks

According to the report of American news agency Axios, if America takes military action, it will be a major operation lasting several weeks.

The report says that this operation will be much bigger than the limited action taken in Venezuela last month and it is possible that it may be carried out in collaboration with Israel. Its target could be Iran’s nuclear and missile infrastructure.

Trump said- Iran should follow America’s path

Trump has given a big statement regarding Iran in Washington. He said that now is the time for Iran to come together on the path on which America is working.

Trump said it would be good if Iran joins us. If it doesn’t connect, that’s fine too, but then the path will be completely different. They cannot continue to threaten the stability of the entire region.

Israeli officials said – there is a high possibility of conflict

Amos Yadlin, a former official in Israel’s military intelligence agency, said the confrontation is now closer than ever. The situation is deteriorating rapidly, but a superpower does not start a war in a few days. The diplomatic path is not completely exhausted yet.

Yadlin also said that many people are against the attack and that the Pentagon is not completely clear about what it wants to achieve by this action, but the President seems quite determined. Trump’s statement ‘All options are open’ tells about real military preparedness.

Diplomatic efforts continue to end the fighting

Diplomatic efforts have intensified to reduce tension and avoid conflict between America and Iran. On Tuesday, Trump advisers Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff spoke for about three hours with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Geneva.

Both sides said that there has been some development in the talks, but US officials are still in doubt about reaching agreement on some major issues.

US Vice President JD Vance said that talks were good in some matters, but Iran is not ready to accept the ‘red lines’ set by the President on many issues. He also said that the President wants a compromise, but it is also possible that diplomacy has reached its limits.

America increased its military deployment in the Middle East

According to the report, America’s military presence in the Middle East has become quite large. Two aircraft carriers, about a dozen warships, hundreds of fighter jets and several air defense systems have been deployed, and more military equipment is being sent.

According to open-source tracking, more than 150 cargo flights have arrived in the region carrying weapons and ammunition. Also, more than 50 fighter jets, including F-35, F-22 and F-16, have been sent to the Middle East.

One of Trump’s advisers said that some people are advising the President not to go to war with Iran, but he thinks there is a 90% chance of military action in the coming weeks.

Two Israeli officials also said the country was preparing for a war situation ‘within days’ and advocated action that could challenge Iran’s authority.

Russia announced navy exercise with Iran

The report reminded that in June 2025, Iranian missiles had killed 32 people and injured more than 3,000.

Likud Party MP Boaz Bismuth said that there is no Israeli citizen who does not think several times a day about when there will be a conflict with Iran. He said that both the public and the government are prepared for different possible situations.

Meanwhile, Iran and Russia have announced to conduct joint naval exercises in the Oman Sea and the North Indian Ocean. At the same time, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards conducted military exercises near the Strait of Hormuz and partially stopped the movement there for a few hours.

Strait of Hormuz is an important route for the world’s oil trade.

The Strait of Hormuz is about 33 kilometers (21 mi) wide at its narrowest. It connects the Persian Gulf to the Gulf of Oman and further to global markets.

About 20% of the world’s oil supply passes through this route. Oil and gas from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, Qatar, Bahrain, UAE and Iran go out from here. Most of the consignments are for Asia.

According to the US Energy Information Administration, there is no practical alternative to this route, although Saudi Arabia and the UAE have built some pipelines that bypass this route.

Although the strait is considered an international waterway and open to all ships, the territorial waters off its shores are controlled by Iran and Oman.

Dispute between Iran and America over ballistic missile stuck

The ballistic missile project has become the biggest issue of controversy in the ongoing nuclear deal negotiations between Iran and America. Iran is not ready to compromise on this at all and considers it as its red line.

Iran says this is necessary to protect its ballistic missile program. Iran says that when Israel and America attacked Iran’s nuclear sites in June 2025, only Iran’s missiles protected it.

Along with this, America wants Iran to stop supporting proxy groups like Hezbollah and Houthi. America wants to include this issue as well, but Iran mainly wants to focus only on the nuclear issue.

Iranian officials have repeatedly said there will be no talks on the missile program. This is Iran’s defensive capability and giving it up would mean weakening itself. Iran says talks will be limited to the nuclear program only, not missiles or regional groupings.
