Trump Gold Card will give the person the right to unlimited residency (to live forever) in America.
So far only one person in America has obtained President Donald Trump’s much talked about ‘Gold Card’ visa. In Gold Card Visa, a foreigner can get the right to live and work in America by paying 1 million dollars (about Rs 8.3 crore).
Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick gave this information in the hearing of the parliamentary committee. This figure is much less than his earlier announcement, in which he had said that within a few days of the launch of the scheme, about Rs 10,800 crore would be collected. 1300 applications have been sold. Lutnick said during the hearing that hundreds of applications are currently in process.
Trump had announced to start the ‘Gold Card’ visa program in February 2025. Although at that time he had kept its price at 5 million dollars (45 crore rupees). It was reduced to $1 million in September.
Trump said that this is part of the America First agenda, which is to stop top talent (like students educated from India and China) and bring companies to America.

In the unlimited residency of Gold Card, citizens not only get passport and the right to vote, they also get all the other facilities like an American citizen. This process will be similar to how permanent residence is obtained through Green Card.
President Trump had said that this visa program is especially for wealthy foreigners, so that they can work while living in America by paying 1 million dollars. Now America will give visas only to talented people and not to those who can snatch the jobs of Americans. He also said that this amount will be used to reduce taxes and repay government debt.

The EB-2 visa is also an alternative to the Green Card, but for those with higher education (Masters or above).
