Iran has said that it will not allow the Strait of Hormuz to be used for military action against itself. Iran’s Ambassador to the UN Security Council, Amir-Saeed Iravani, said that the Strait of Hormuz is an important sea route related to Iran’s security and national interests. “Iran’s actions in Hormuz are in accordance with international law and interference of any kind will not be tolerated,” he said.
