World Updates: Former governor in America killed his wife in divorce dispute, also shot himself

In America’s Virginia, former Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax shot his wife dead and then committed suicide. The incident took place at his home in Annandale on Thursday night.

According to the police, both the sons of the couple were present in the house at the time of the incident, who called and informed the police. Police found Justin Fairfax (47) and his wife Serena dead.

Police investigation has revealed that there was a dispute going on between the two regarding divorce. Police are examining the footage of the cameras installed in the house.

Regarding the incident, the police chief said that it is very sad, especially because children were present in the house at the time. At present the children have been kept under the care of family members and they are being given counselling.

Earlier in January, Fairfax had accused his wife of assault, but this was not confirmed in the investigation.
