2 Sikhs shot dead in Italy: Attackers came in a car, fired 10 bullets outside the Gurudwara – Jalandhar News

2 Sikh sevadars were murdered outside Gurdwara Sahib in Bergamo, Italy. The accused fired about 10 rounds at him. Both of them were immediately rushed to the hospital in injured condition, where doctors declared them dead. Italian police are still investigating the reason for the shooting. The deceased have been identified as Rajinder Singh and Gurmeet Singh. Both of them were associated as sevadars in Gurdwara Sahib for a long time. Police investigation has revealed that the attacker is of Indian origin. Police have cordoned off the area and started searching for the accused. The attackers, Rajinder Singh (48) and Gurmeet Singh (48), of Indian origin, were serving in Covo, Italy on Friday night. Both were present at the entry gate of Gurdwara Sahib. Meanwhile, some accused reached Gurudwara Sahib in a car. As soon as they reached near the gate, they started firing indiscriminately at the servicemen. Hearing the sound of bullets, there was an outcry on the spot. After committing the crime, the accused fled in the vehicle. Nagar Kirtan cancelled: After the incident, the Nagar Kirtan to be held in Kovo has also been cancelled. A city kirtan was to be held near the Gurudwara on the occasion of Vaisakhi.
