Now preparing to ban H-1B visa for 3 years: MPs from Donald Trump’s party presented a bill with strict provisions in Parliament.

The ‘American Dream’ is becoming a nightmare for Indians under the rule of US President Donald Trump. Now MPs from Trump’s party have presented a bill in Parliament with many other stringent provisions including a ban on H-1B visas for 3 years. The purpose of this H-1B Abuse Prevention Bill-2026, introduced in Congress (Parliament) by 7 Republican MPs, is to create more job opportunities for the American people. Republican Congressman Eli Crane of Arizona has introduced the bill in Parliament. Other lawmakers who signed the bill include Brandon Gill, Paul Gosar and Andy Ogles. This bill related to American interests is also likely to get support from some MPs of the Democratic Party. According to sources, voting is possible by the end of the year after getting the support of 60 MPs in the Senate of 100 MPs. Indians will be most affected by this bill. Because, out of about 85 thousand H-1B visas issued every year in America, about 63 thousand visas are given to Indian professionals. Professionals from China come second. ‘MAGA’ in protest against H1B, interviews are not happening, fees also increased 100 times Trump’s radical MAGA supporters (Make America Great Again) have been against H-1B visa. He believes that foreigners, especially professionals coming from India, are usurping the jobs of Americans. Trump is continuously making this visa difficult due to his voter base. It is necessary to come to India for visa stamping. But here in the American embassies, renewal interviews are almost nil. The January interviews have been rescheduled to November-December. Many professionals have lost their jobs. Last year, Trump increased the fee for H-1B visa by almost 100 times to Rs 94 lakh. Due to this, entry into America under this visa category has already become difficult. Quota reduced to 25 thousand in the new bill, 1.86 crore salary required. According to the new bill, when H-1B visa is restarted after three years, the current quota of 85 thousand professionals will be reduced to 25 thousand professionals per year. 1. H-1B is given only to those to whom American employers will pay a minimum salary of Rs 1 crore 86 lakh every year. There is currently no minimum wage set for visas. 2. The lottery system currently implemented in Visa will be abolished. The hiring option of companies will end. 3. Ban on professionals from bringing along their wives and children. Now they can bring their wives and children. Their children born in America automatically get citizenship. 4. Optional Practical Training (OPT) of H1B professionals doing Masters will be abolished. Currently, H-1B professionals completing their Masters are allowed to stay in the US for up to two additional years and work under the OPT program. Green card pendency increased… The pendency of Green Card issued for permanent stay of Indians in America has also increased to 15 years. H-1B is issued for a maximum of 6 years. After this, a green card is necessary to stay in America. Tech companies sponsor the most H-1B. India produces millions of engineering and computer science graduates every year, who play a big role in America’s tech industry. Companies like Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Cognizant and HCL sponsor most of their employees on H-1B visas. It is said that India exports more people i.e. engineers, coders and students to America than goods. Now due to expensive fees, Indian talent will move towards Europe, Canada, Australia and Middle East countries. ——————– Also read this news… US President Trump’s Gold Card Visa flopped: Till now only 1 person had taken it, 1300 applications had been claimed to be sold.
